Set-up question

I hope I am asking this in the right section, if not, somebody important please move my post. This forum has helped me out with all of my questions while getting my set-up completed. Now I am moving to my Grandparents set-up.

The have a 61 inch Samsung DLP (HL-R6168W). I am getting them a Blu-ray player in the next day or so. They have HD cable through Knology.
I am looking for a speaker set-up that will help them hear the dialogue a little better. They aren't really looking for a killer surround system, they just want to hear "Jack Bauer better when he talks". That is exactly what she said.
Is there a speaker or sound bar that will connect to the TV that will just give them extra sound when playing both cable and Blu-ray/DVD?
