This movie truly is a gift from the past to the present.

Ebert gave this movie one star in 1972, and I suppose any of us may have done the same in the context of this being a new release.

So many things make this an amazing viewing experience in 2019:
  • Plays like a period piece, and to great entertaining effect
  • Cushing nostalgia
  • Lee nostalgia
  • far-out soundtrack that plays like an on-point retro tribute
  • doesn't take itself too seriously, compounding all of the above

I wasn't sure what to expect with this one but it is a keeper!
