The visual effects were INSANE during some of the Mysterio scenes.

Think if the best effects of Into the Spider-Verse and Doctor Strange had a baby. That's how bonkers this became. Damn near forgot this was a Sony film lol.

If you can visit a local IMAX, do it. The full aspect ratio (when it expands) is worth the price of admission on this one.

As for the film itself, I'm pressed to say it was a step above Homecoming in virtually every department. What hooked me the most more than anything was the chemistry between the young cast members, and the fun they seemed to be having. Movie finished and I was already dying to experience the next adventure with those students. And Gyllenhaal? Amazing. Absolutely amazing work once again, but by now, you've come to know what to expect from his talent. Holland is great and continues to grow into this character, and Jake only elevates his game even further.

Mid-credits scene got the entire crowd gasping and, as the kids today say...... shook.

4.5/5 rounded up to 5/5 in the poll.

I didn't think this was nearly as funny as Homecoming. Wonder why John Francis Daly and John Goldstein didn't return? I guess too busy with The Flash. I definitely missed their humor in this, especially with the opening scene with the school news kids. Felt like the writers if this one tried to recreate that hysterical awkward interactions, but missed the mark. The first ine jad some real good gut busting laughs, this one had a couple of laughsand some chuckles.

But that was really my only thing i didn't think was that great, apart from that I really enjoyed this flick. Tom Holland was a perfect choice for the role. Marisa Tomei is incapable of not being gorgeous and i always love more screen time for Favreau.

Mid credits scene was awesome, especially since i wasnt expecting any of it.

Post credits scene was also solid, but i dont know what it means.

I was really happy that the AMC only had one trailer...Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, kept the run time down at least a good 15 minutes from the usual number of trailers. It's going to be a long work day today, I needed that extra 15 minutes of sleep after the 1.5 hour ride home after the flick.

Great movie! I won't be able to talk to anyone today. The people I was supposed to go see it with bailed so I have to wait to discuss anything!

You must have seen it in IMAX. Dolby only had one trailer too, but it was 21 Bridges.
