I was very disappointed in the 2004 film (not the blu-ray disc [I wouldn't even waste my money on that]). This film is the most accurate, loyal, and respectful adaptation of the film to be created yet. Ray Stevenson's performance was better than any Punisher fan could ever hope. The action gives Rambo a run for its money, in terms of graphic violence. As far as movies go, I'd take this over Rambo any day.

Of course, I wish it was an extended edition, but what can you do? Anybody see this in theaters? Who's picking it up?

whoa, whoa, whao...im a hugh fan of the punisher and i loved The Punisher (2004) movie one of my favorite and you hated it?...And war zone i was so excited for and when i saw it in theaters it sucked the worst punisher movie ever made how can you enjoy this movie and how can you like it over the Thomas Jane version?
