I really hope they try and manage to get the European Spanish audios. I love the show in English but I originally started watching it dubbed and it'd be great to have it in both languages and subtitles.

It's not common on German releases on catalog titles to have Spanish dub. Most releases have English and German audio. So, don' t get your hopes up.

It won't. This is not a CBS European or Worldwide release, this is specifically for the German market.

I like that surprisingly, the complete series DVD box set of The Good Wife I just purchased for an equivalent of 40USD from France, is actually the discs for the whole of Europe, with mainly the UK artwork and disclaimers on the disc but also the German ones and I'm pretty sure the rest too. I was mostly worried about the constant annoyance that most French dvds have burned subtitles.
I guess Koch Media doesn't do this as they aim to distribute just for D A and CH but it would be great if they didn't.

Does anyone know if the HD 16/9 transfers of Charmed have messed with the image like Baywatch?

No, cbs did an amazing job with Charmed. You can see videos of the hd remaster looks like on youtube. CBS did 2 hd remasters, one for streaming services with 4:3 aspect ratio, and 16:9 for Tv and blu-ray

I just got an update from KochMedia about this release. It is still planned for an end of 2020 release, Covid-19 has not pushed the release date, as of now. Also the set will contain some form of bonus features, though the specifics and scale are unconfirmed.

this was their message exactly. "For the moment Charmed release is still planned for the end of 2020. For sure there will be some bonus features on our edition. regarding scale and type of the features I couldnt give you any new information."

I'm not holding my breath either lol. But, i know Koch was planing on creating new bonus material for their Macguiver set with new interviews with the cast. i'm hoping they will add the same enthusiasm for the Charmed set. though i would be happy with just deleted scenes and bloopers. hahaha

Might be a tough one. We had a lot of stuff ready to go and then this BS took place so lots on hold! But obviously we want things to get back to normal and everyone to be safe (except the Brexiters who will kill us all come January).

Have to say, I'm more than pleasantly surprised that you guys are on board for the extra features. I assumed it would be a simple "port the DVD extras" job as well, but this makes things much more interesting!

Seriously. It's such a shame we never even got a commentary or something from Brad Kern or Constance M. Burge, who are likely the easiest (and cheapest) to get out of the cast and crew of the show.

Can't wait to see what new special features end up showing up!

We did, i believe Brad did 2 Audio Commentaries. he did one for 8x01 for sure, but i cant remember if he did another one. on the Region 1 dvd's for season 8 though there are 2 Audio Commentaries. Not sure why they arent on the Region 2 & 4 dvd's though.

Ah, I stand corrected. Wasn't the biggest fan of S8 so never purchased it. Never realized it had a commentary or two on it.

Though it's a shame we never got anything for the earlier seasons.

What new features could they do, though? I've seen a lot of blooper reels and dailies on youtube, but would there be actual new material?
