Summer of Sam is out of stock? That's one of the film on my order, so maybe that's the hold up. I don't see anything saying it's out of stock though.

As for kicking anyone’s ass, where would you find the time when you’re so busy incessantly posting about Gary Cooper movies?

I have nothing but positive things to say about Kino. From the amount and variety of titles they put out, original poster art used, special features, continual sales and excellent customer service and communication, I feel very fortunate that the company exists.

I guess some people are never satisfied.

Don't wish to derail the thread, but there was some discussion on here a while back about The Woman in Black (1989) - well Hell finally froze over and Network are releasing it in the UK (looks like region B only):

Quick update. We did an incredible amount of orders.

Regarding Summer of Sam, concurrent with the sale a tremendous wholesale order cleaned us out. New production had already been on order before we started the sale and we expect sometime next week unless there's an unexpected delay (these are strange times).

If you're truly unhappy just cancel the order and purchase at Amazon (we're happy wherever you buy as long as it's a legitimate seller). To cancel, there is a cancellation link in the confirmation email, via your page on our site if you ordered as a registered user, or contact us at https://www.kinolorber.com/customer-service . As we let you know at time of checkout, we will send packages when all items are ready to send and we are not splitting orders for out-of-stock items (especially at these rates & majority of orders including free shipping).

In meantime thousands of orders and tens of thousands Blu-rays have been sent out and we're working to take care of the rest. I hope majority here is happy.

13 Blu-rays for $8.69 each with free shipping and no tax? I’m ecstatic.

For anyone who is so impatient for their order to ship, here’s a solution: I believe all KINO titles are available at Amazon. Join Amazon Prime for $99. Order all the KINO titles you want at full price. Select 2 day shipping or, even better, pay an extra fee for 1 or same day shipping, if it’s available. Then you don’t have to wait very long at all for all your prized orders to ship. Problem solved! You’re welcome.

Actually, I prefer to walk into one of the local Bullmoose stores, pick them up off the shelves, and take them home (well, after paying for them, that is). I don't get them for $8.69 each, but I do get at least a third off MSRP, get reward points, and support a great vendor who pays a decent price for all of the DVDs I'm constantly bringing in to trade.

Just a couple of days ago, I got Man in the Shadow, Night Passage, and The Rare Breed for $16 each, as well as using points to get The Great McGinty for $10.

Really hoping for Half Baked, especially if it's updated with a new scan. The old hd dvd was only a 13-14 gb release and was compressed even by 2007 standards. At the very least high bitrate MPEG-4 and DTS-HD could help. Would also love to hear a Chappelle commentary and new interviews for this movie, but it'd likely be really tough to both get him on board and for a price that wouldn't be through the roof.

Much ado about nothing. Kino has great service. I just received a stack of gems from them yesterday. In terms of shipping during a massive sale, they tend to get orders processed and shipped faster than any other label. They put out more titles per month than any label I can think of and they have more frequent sales. Just received Cannibal Apocalypse ahead of release date. Pray for the Wildcats was awesome! I've got nothing but love for Kino.

For majority of sale this was listed as out-of-stock on page and shopping cart pages at time of order. Our other option would have been to pull SOS out of sale altogether, something we did not do.

Thanks for spotting this and alerting us. I bought it. Comes out to about $24.00
including International Shipping.

I have the original Canadian DVD from 2002. It looks like mud compared to the
restoration. It was shot on 16mm as you know. I couldn't believe how sharp and
clean the sample looked.

Date of release May 25.

You do know my advice about buying from Amazon was sarcasm, right?

Bull Moose is a great place and I also love buying from them, though geography makes it online only. Patronizing KINO directly or Bull Moose or other similar outlets is key. I don’t care if my order hasn’t shipped in five days, for chrissakes. If a person becomes so adamantly opposed to a seller based on that, then take your business to Amazon, put your money where your mouth is and shut up.

For me, it’s VERY important now to support smaller retailers, not just for physical media obviously, but for everything. With people now afraid of their own shadow and staying home, and B&M stores reporting massive shortages, Amazon will become even more powerful and monopolistic. If we still have a future, besides Charlton Heston driving around machine gunning mutants, we sure don’t want one where Amazon wields anymore control than they already have.
