Default Audio playback question DVD vs. Blu-Ray
Trying to figure out what the problem is when playing back DVD vs. Blu Ray.
I have a Sony BDP-S550 hooked up via an optical cable to my Marantz receiver for audio only. The video is hooked up directly via HDMI to my Sony Bravia TV. I have a tendency to leave my TV audio on as well as my surround sound channels while watching movies, and with Blu-Ray don't notice any problems, but if I pop in a DVD there seems to be a delay in the audio signal between. Does this have something to do with the decoding going on in my receiver vs. the TV? Any info would be usefull.
