Default Was told Blu-ray is not worth it...
Complete novice when it comes to Blu Ray technology...

A co-worker of mine told me if you don't have at least a 61" LCD or Plasma, I really won't see the difference from a regular DVD player or a Blu Ray.

Is this true?

I have a 46" Sharp LCD.

Also, he said the type of HDMI cable really matters, is that also true?
