You do however like BD & or HDDVD, therefor you like one better. It's impossible to say they are the same, unless they are...and they aren't. Therefore you have a preferance.

The only thing that keeps me on the edge (and I said, I probably lean just a touch towards blu) is that there is that I still don't see some of the blu-ray advantages as tangible. Space obviously is for extras and better audio. But I just don't know if the video difference will actually be visible. It sure isn't to me. I also don't have a lossless receiver and am not sure I've ever heard it or could tell the difference. What I have now sounds great. Maybe I just need to hear it. So that's why I am neutral - I need to see/hear it for myself to really see the benefit.

I don't know how many BD's you've watched vs. HDDVD's but I have two BD players, two 1080p tv's over 100 BD's and nearly 60 HDDVD's I can tell you I am consistantly more impressed with the Highbitrate AVC & even some mpeg2
over HDDVD and it's low bit-rate VC-1. I know VC-1 is good, DeJa Vu proved that. But the ONLY titles in VC-1 to me that are compareable in sharpness to what I have gotten used to with BD is Kong, HotFuzz & PitchBlack. Vs. just about 95% of Sony & Disney titles that look Awesome. You do the math.

The only benefits either format has for me right now is the exclusive movies. Dual format titles I'll buy on the cheaper of the two. I do share the sentiment of many others and wish there was no war, but I also want to watch whatever I can in HD.

I can respect this, and whole heartedly agree. I think with a little more watching, you will soon gain the trained eye for detail and start noticing the difference in not only PQ, but number of esclusive hit titles on Blu-ray.
