Any chance FCE could tackle something like Monte Hellman’s Cockfighter?

That one has been OOP for years now.

Being a Roger Corman/New World production, isn’t it owned by Disney, and thus unavailable?

It's provided to Tubi by Shout! Factory TV, so I kind of assume it is not available to FCE at the moment, but also not owned by Disney.

Can you tell us who did the commentary on RANCHO DELUXE because there's no mention of it on the website and there's no picture of the non-slip back cover?

I just placed my order for Rancho Deluxe. Been sold since the many podcasts featuring jah13. Joe Spinell, no matter if he's in this for 15 secs, is a cherry on top. I wish this thread was more about the films released or announced than constant title requests.

Is there a substantial amount of Harry Dean Stanton in Rancho Deluxe? It’s always possible to have too little Stanton, but never possible to have too much.

Thanks, omahajon! Much appreciated for the support. Happy to talk about the movies we DO have!

Joe has a great scene in this film; he's utilized beautifully. I think you're in for a treat.

Yes, this is a big role for Harry Dean; he's in the film from beginning to end and plays a crucial part.

If I haven't said it before the slip for Rancho Deluxe looks gorgeous. I'm looking forward to it (the movie, not the slip, but the slip as well).

I wish this entire forum was more about the films released or announced than constant "I just ordered _________" comments.

There's surely hundreds of dedicated film-talk forums out there. This is a blu ray forum.

Ordering items, shipping, artwork, disc quality, special features and dozens of other things not directly related to the movies themselves are perfectly relevant here.

I don't mean to sound rude at all here. Just saying, it's odd to come here and complain about what it "should be" when (1) this site was designed and intended for this purpose and (2) exactly what you're looking for exists out there and is surely very easy to find.

It's like walking into restaurant and saying, "you know, I really wish this was a grocery store."

...which is exactly what I was mocking the person I quoted for doing. Brother, you missed the point.

I make a fool of myself at least at least twice a week on here, so no big surprise.

I don't mind any of that. I just don't care enough to get on here and read or suggest what label should release what, is all I meant. I love to be surprised when a label releases something, and largely FCE releases things I know nothing about but ended up loving. Alphabet City is a real gem. Walking the Edge is great. Eager for Rancho Deluxe.

Pay no attraction to my comment, it sucked. Relevant at times in some places on this site, but an overreaction in this case based more on other stuff I've seen in the past than anything that was posted here.

Jah13, any more MGM titles upcoming in the line? Would Fun City consider a Universal deal? They still have some titles, including several mid-90s Polygram/Gramcery titles left, that would the FC line.

Given VS has connections with the Filmrise catalog, would some of their titles find their way in the Fun City line? FilmRise has tons of Milennium/First Look/Alliance titles that would be worthy of the line.

I pre-ordered it the day it went live as well.

I'm basically just like this now: "New FCE pre-order? Doesn't matter if I've never seen the movie before. Checkout immediately using the VS subscriber code!"

jah13, any updates on the Walking the Edge replacement discs?

Just finished watching Rancho Deluxe and it just wasn't for me so i'll pass on the Blu-ray release. I'm 4 for 6 with FCE titles so far, Jeremy was the other title i passed on.

JEREMY is one of those releases that the special features really helped me re-evaluate the film. Not trying to sell you on it, but the dual interviews with the 2 stars is one of the best recent special features I've seen and really made the film resonate more than it did the first time I watched it.
