If I remember the KLI correctly, the Durbin set didn't exactly set the world ablaze in sales. Makes you wonder how poorly the Stanwyck and Grant sets sold
I didn’t know that. I’ll go remove my request.

Cary Grant
Carole Lombard 2
••• Western Classics II •••
Reginald Denny
Rock Hudson
Lois Weber (Director Double Bill)

Most of these are bad sellers, the only one with respectable numbers is the Audie Murphy one, but even that one has done half the numbers Film Noir II, III and IV have done. The last 4 listed above are very poor performers.
I bought the first Carole Lombard set recently, it was quite enjoyable! I might get the second one and Barbara Stanwyck's too eventually.

And I remember looking into the Lois Weber, but Amazon wouldn't deliver it here. She deserves more attention, if for not other reason, at least for inspiring one of the most famous scenes in film history...

I heartily agree with you, Rzzzz! I sure would like to see a Audie Murphy Volume 2 Blu-ray set from Kino Lorber ... and I have a little furry feline friend who agrees with me.

SACCO & VANZETTI (1971)
• NEW Audio Commentary by Filmmaker Alex Cox
• Includes Both the English and Italian Audio Tracks
• Theatrical Trailer
• Optional English Subtitles

Color/B&W 125 Minutes 1.85:1 Not Rated
Riccardo Cucciolla (Un Flic, Borsalino & Co.) and Gian Maria Volontè (A Fistful of Dollars, Lucky Luciano) are Sacco & Vanzetti, subjects of one of the most infamous trials of the twentieth century. Boston, 1920. Italian immigrants Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti, known for their anarchist beliefs, stand accused of robbery and murder. Their political leanings are used as evidence against them, but defense attorney Fred Moore (Milo O’Shea, The Verdict) is convinced of their innocence. As anti-immigrant and anti-radical sentiments run high, one of the most polarizing trials in U.S. history unfolds in this riveting docudrama from director Giuliano Montaldo (Grand Slam). The musical score was composed and conducted by the great Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly) featuring folk music legend Joan Baez. The top-notch cast also includes Cyril Cusack (Fahrenheit 451), Geoffrey Keen (The Spy Who Loved Me), William Prince (Cyrano de Bergerac) and Claude Mann (Army of Shadows).

Also Available on DVD!

@ KLI, you probably can't answer this, but I was wondering if there is a chance The Sniper (1952) could be part of this Sony deal? It already had a UK release so I imagine it could use the same scan.

Sorry, but I have no idea.

I think it started selling better after we said it we were not printing anymore copies, we haven't said that about the Grant and Stanwyck sets.

I'm not allowed to confirm or deny, but I'll answer this one. We don't have The Sniper.

Well, that's something! You guys have been killing it with some of the Italian films. Sacco & Vanzetti, Grand Slam, and of course Violent City. Revolver really needs a US release, and it has one of Ennio Morricone's best scores.

I love this particular one.

Please neither confirm nor deny whether KLSC would or would not be interested in The Owl And The Pussycat (1970) tbh

Sitewide sale, as in all titles? No, but there will be a sale next month sometime.

Speaking of Oliver Reed...anyone know who has the US rights for his 1966 film The Trap? Would love to see KLSC tackle that one.
