And my codes are a little different: (1057486) 2110795R1 08E 030001 (1057487) 2110795R1 04E 030001 But the old disc, would you see SBS this way? Or is there a way to see the SBS? As far as I know, I've never seen it on a disc. Last edited by Tober27; 04-04-2022 at 03:50 AM. |

Haven't seen the faulty disc but side by side would likely play that way on any TV, 3D or not. There are a few YouTube videos like that, and some low-budget productions- the equipment treats it like a 2D picture and you have to manually tell the TV to unsqueeze the frame and show one half as the left eye and the other as the right. If you TV goes into 3D mode automatically on these then it can sense a side-by-side picture- there was a setting on my older TV that did that but I had to turn it off because it would go into 3D mode on 2D material with split-screen sequences, such as Carrie.

Pretty much everything is telling me I have the new disc, but with no sticker over the barcode, and maybe slightly updated laser codes on the disc. Is it possible there's been another revision? I'll check my settings later to see if I can turn off the auto recognition. |

There should be some minor variations in the codes (end subsets) but the first subsets match so all is good. I forget which number correspond with the glass master/specific encodes and which are things like pressing runs etc. As far as playing the disc - a bit beyond me, but some people had no problems playing it at all. No fuss, no special reloads or changes in the machine/monitor. Others had to work harder at it, but most people should have been able to make it work. Even afterwards playing the new and old discs they said it was hard to tell a huge difference in the quality. |

Maybe I’d see the difference and maybe not, but on my future 300” 3D FOLED (FutureOLED) I might. Never seen these in 3D before, and probably only TV airings on the old CRT, so looking forward to them. A long way to get to the point. Updated discs are in non-sticker barcode packaging now. |

Finally got around to watching REVENGE tonight, and it’s a maddening experience. Some shots look great, and others look like complete DNR garbage. You would think the dolts at UNI would realize that 20 and 30 somethings (with their hatred of grain) are not the target audience for the Gillman.
