It's so easy to confuse the two of them especially since they are both Paramount titles with the same name. I have done it before and others here probably have to. How many say I.

Would love Turbulence, but that's with HBO, so maybe through Warner Archives.

Realized that You Can Count on Me was never released--I'd buy that in a heartbeat.

My Mean Creek DVD sits there waiting for a boost too. . .

Nice catalog wave coming in August: Coneheads, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, What Woman Want, and a re-release of Stalag 17 with digital copy.

Plus Back to the Beach Paramount Presents:

Interesting as it rules out Stalag from Kino, which now makes me wonder if that makes the other two Wilders more or less likely.

And they can't put a 4K UHD disc out of Tropic Thunder themselves. Glad those releases are coming but the catalog decisions of studio executives is sometimes baffling.

La Dolce Vita gets a barebones release, but sure, let's give Back to the Beach the deluxe treatment.

WTF is up with Paramount?

Also, I wonder if this kills the notion that Kino would be releasing a UHD of Stalag 17. Because it would be wonderful if they did.

La Dolce Vita is the same 4K restoration as the Criterion, and the Presents line is only for brand new scas/restorations, so it sort of got DQ'd because of that (same reason Rosemary's Baby got a basic release too). La Dolce Vita does come with a 2.5 minute intro by Scorsese too, plus an English dub of the film. But yeah, I do think there is a factor of the person running the Presents line choosing some of his favorite films too, which is why we're seeing stuff like this, and Rough Cut come out through there, rather than a basic catalog release.

Darn, I'd been hoping 'Gilbert Grape' would get the Present's treatment it deserves so they'd do a new 4K master of it.

This new batch of releases helps 'knock-out' some of the 43 blus coming from Kino. that ups the chances of some other movies we might have been hoping for, lol.

With Coneheads, I think every SNL movie has now had a bluray release except for Superstar! Still (im)patiently waiting for that one. Hoping it can’t be too far behind.

Stuart Saves His Family is another SNL movie without a BD.

Stalag 17 paired with Dirty Dozen was blown out at Fry's or Best Buy for I believe $5 to $6 but no digital which I bought off itunes for $5 so I guess I'm still ahead of the game on this one.
