We need some of those Anthony Perkins Paramount titles.

Like "The Tin Star", "Fear Strikes Out", "Desire Under the Elms", "Catch-22", and "Mahogany".

YES, YES, YES! Honestly, not a fan of Catch-22 though Tony is very funny in it but the others, absolutely! And don't forget The Lonely Man starring Perkins and Jack Palance, released by Paramount in 1957. Another one for the collection.

The KLI said in my post that When Worlds Collide wasn't available to them. I was hoping they would do a new remaster.

Shout Factory might have it as I believe they still have a deal with Paramount. Although if they do, it'll probably look no better than Imprint's release. So yeah, stick with Imprint's version, as I am.

I don’t know if it would sell enough to warrant an upgrade, but Imprint’s The Out-of-Towners is really bad and I would be all over an upgrade to it, one of my favs.

Honestly I think that Once Upon a Time in the West makes the most sense as tomorrow's UHD announcement.

We're about to get the two other Leone westerns next week, so the timing would be perfect to announce the crown jewel. Not to mention it's arguably the most likely title picked up for UHD in this deal, so gets the obvious out of the way, and starts the Paramount reveals with a bang.

If Kino got Once Upon a Time in the West, I feel the Presents line would likely be on life support. That's easily a title that should be part of that line as a wide 4K release.

Never bought the Imprint because of how poorly it was reviewed but yeah, I'd pick up a copy if Kino did a new transfer and released it. I usually enjoy Jack Lemmon's work.

They said no animation due to earlier poor sales.

So when you consider the strong likelihood that the 3D title is The Man Who Wasn't There, that leaves another 4 new-to-disc titles. I'm really hoping for some late 60s/70s stuff (to my knowledge none of these got an official US DVD release):

The Vulture
The Penthouse
Inadmissible Evidence
The Strange Affair
The Long Day's Dying
Where's Jack?
The Lawyer
The Deserter AKA The Devil's Backbone
(if still with Paramount)
A Gunfight
Unman, Wittering and Zigo
Fear is the Key
The Man
Ash Wednesday
Three Tough Guys
Terror in the Wax Museum
Arnold
W
Mean Dog Blues
(if with Paramount)
The Shadow of Chikara (if still with Paramount)

No way Paramount would license Saturday Night Fever. Besides, they could be already preparing it for UHD later this year.

I agree, but maybe the Presents line is on life support. They took too long to get to UHD's. Last year Almost Famous launched simultaneously in the Presents line and outside the line as a UHD, which was already an odd move. Then in the last few months just as the Presents line announced their first UHD, Paramount proper noticeably increased their 4K UHD output for titles released outside of the line. Now on top of that they've moved to licensing out UHD's to labels (probably Arrow and Criterion too, although at this point that's just speculative). Hard to see how that leaves the Presents line with the same kind of freedom in terms of selection.

I think I’ve seen most of my Paramount wish-list titles mentioned in the last few pages, but seeing the dreaded Jim Belushi credited on the poster of today’s announcement reminded me that the last John Belushi title trapped on DVD, Goin’ South, is a Paramount title and right up KL’s alley.

This latest announcement means the following are not part of the MGM deal:

The Assisi Underground
Detective School Dropouts
Haunted Summer
The Rose Garden

There are still 2 80s Cannon titles left to reveal. 1 was previously released on DVD, and should come from this pool:

Mata Hari (1985)
King Lear (1987) (almost certainly with Criterion)
Journey to the Center of the Earth (1989)
Crack House

The other is new to disc, and is one of the following:

Thunder Alley (1985)
Duet for One
Hanna's War

Are you referring to the 30's Greta Garbo Mata Hari or the 80's one (hope it's the former)?

Don't think Cannon was around in the 30's
