Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I think the first 45 minutes of RZ1 (all the Michael origin story shit) is some of the most powerful filmmaking in any Halloween movie.

Supremely bummed right now. While this is an amazing haul, it's missing an important component...the Zavvi Exclusive Poltergeist LE Steelbook with all the swag. I ordered it, along with the Lost Boys LE, at the same time. The dispatch email implied that they were being sent together, yet only the Lost Boys steel was in the package. A box, mind you, only large enough to fit the one item. At first I thought maybe they were packaged separately, but now I fear the worst...that they just didn't ship it for whatever reason (forgot, none on hand, stupidity...). Inquiries with Zavvi have me proceeding with filing a lost item claim, as they can't seem to answer a simple question...were they supposedly shipped together or separately? I still have a slight glimmer of hope it arrives, but hedging my bet nonetheless. Ughhh...

Don't be alarmed. This is typical Zavvi shipping movies in separate boxes. Ironically, my Poltergeist showed up today but, not my Lost Boys lol. I don't know how one shows up before the other, when it showed they were shipped at the same time. But, it's not the first time i've seen it happen with them. I'm guessing maybe by Monday we'll receieve the rest of our order.

My Poltergeist and Lost Boys were marked as shipped together and arrived together in the same box this week, not saying you guys aren't receiving them separate but it is weird for mine to come together if everyone else's are separate.

Oh, it is so on this year. I will have my annual Halloween Trilogy (my Trilogy) viewing in glorious 4K thanks to the wonderful folks at Shout Factory! I am so ready! I never thought my beloved Trilogy capper H20 would get this treatment, but here it is... alongside two bastard stepchildren, but one of them is not really as horrible as word has it (particularly the Producer's Cut, but I remember watching the Theatrical Cut and not hating it at all as it had some killer atmosphere) and the other... well let's just say that compared to the crap that has been shoveled out recently with the Halloween title attached to it this one will probably look much better to me now that the other, newer, options are sooooo much worse. So, in short, that is all the Halloween films I really care about and one add-on that I could maybe learn to enjoy more with a little help from friends in loooow places... where the whiskey rounds and the beer chases my blues away (sing it Garth Brooks).
