Being an owner of a [dead] 800u set, I know all about the 'flicker' in 24p mode. Being the [future] owner of a V10, I am anxious for the 96Hz upgrade.
But last week, I did something I haven't done in a LOOONG time - I went to watch a movie @ the theater (The Hangover...great, funny flick), and the overall cinema experience from the projector is exactly like the 800u in flicker mode. Bright scenes had the same flicker. So...is there truly anything wrong with the 'flicker', or is Panasonic really trying to stay close to the cinema experience? I mean, they actually left 48Hz as an available rate in the V10, hinting that they are fine with the flicker. And it is just like being @ the movies... ![]() |
