So anyone wanna say some of the best physical or digital deals they found in 2022. I had quite a few some of which are:

the grinch 4k .50 cents
stranger tides 3d 50 cents
cars 3 4k 2 dollars
ghost busters 4k 3d 2 dollars
willy wonka 4k 2 dollars
thor love and thunder 4k 5 dollars
light year 4k 5 dollars
clone wars season 4 4 dollars
clone wars season 1 3 dollars
clone wars lost missions 3 dollars
iron blood orphans season 1 4 dollars
mulan animated 4k 4 dollars
shang chi 4k steelbook 5 dollars
antman and wasp 4k steelbook 5 dollars
black widow 4k steelbook 5 dollars
walle 4k steelbook 5 dollars
raya the last dragon 4k steelbook 5 dollars

This is why I say physical media is the best bang for your buck you can find some crazy deals. My collection costs have actually been close to negative most years since I started collecting.

You've never seen Brimstone or Django unchained ? I highly recommend those.

And sadly there is no way to own The Ballad of Buster Scruggs.

I held off on Buster Scruggs for the longest time, hoping it would get a disc release. Finally caved in and watched it last year.

Thankfully the Netflix war film ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’ is getting a German 4K!

I think All Quiet on the Western Front will get a disc release everywhere.

The US already has preorders too.

I don't know if anybody has noticed, but why are some "new" releases so cheap? I noticed The Menu and Clerks III on Amazon are both <$15 on Blu-ray. Aren't these relatively new releases? I have to wonder if people aren't buying them and they have to lower the prices? I hope it doesn't mean studios release less physical product because then the prices will jump up.

It was down to $13.29 when I checked. I bought it ~a week ago for $12 something through Disney Movie Club.

I went to check Brimstone and I forgot that the digital HD had already been gifted to me. It is $7.99 on BD. I will watch it first via VUDU and if I like it, will get the BD.

I'm not sure what the mods consider bad enough to ban. I've had posts deleted that I didn't think were anything out of the ordinary and you're never told why.

Wow, lots to catch up on, but more of the same since I took a hiatus. I see everyone is still very passionate on their platform of choice. I’ve nothing to really to add. I do wish I had picked up a few foreign steelbooks when I had the money, but maybe down the pike. It has been a minute since I actually bought something. I’m mostly streaming and playing Red Dead Redemption 2 with my son at the moment.

I saw that he posted after you made this post, but haven’t seen him here since. Do you have any idea how he’s doing? I pm’d him before I saw this in the thread.

Positives:
transfer really shows off the highlands and the various camera pans and swoops.
Cinematography is impressive and quite creative at times.
Queen soundtrack
Clancy Brown

Negatives
Unconvincing sword fights
Very dated FX
Disjointed script
Christopher Lambert has about as much charisma as a sink plunger.

A rare dud blind buy for me, all these years wondering what all the fuss was about and now, I think I was right to avoid it.

Going to sell it

Film 2/5
Picture quality 4/5
Audio 4/5
Extras 4/5

How dare you attack a national treasure, good sir. Seriously, I get it, but it’s one of my favorite movies and television series. Not to mention one of the best cult classics from the 80’s.

This has to be one of the most underrated modern westerns made. A close second is, Open Range. I watched both thanks to the old Netflix disc rental a few years back. I’ve since let my subscription lapse since I moved. I’ve been streaming more than buying at this point. Mostly due to financial issues from my custody battle for my son and not having a pot to piss in.

This is something that drives me absolutely bonkers when I was more frequent in forums and groups. My feeling is, you need to leave the original post up with the infraction or forum violation. Otherwise, you leave it up for speculation on what happened. But that’s just my 2 pence worth.
