Walker, Texas Ranger in HD on Roku Channel
As the title states, the first 3 seasons of Walker, Texas Ranger, remastered in HD is on The Roku Channel (Link).
First episode ("One Riot One Ranger", both parts) is "upconverted" SD but the rest appear to be newly remastered from original film elements. I believe the show (at least S2+) was on 16mm so it does appear a little grainy and the low streaming bitrate (~5.4Mbps) doesn't help but it is definitely an upgrade from SD/DVDs. Hopefully this means a Blu-Ray release in the near future as it seems to be something Paramount/CBS may do given their recent releases. |
