I don't care about director's cuts (as a matter of fact I don't like STAR TREK
2's director cut) so I bought the blus.
The first film is my least favorite of the series so I don't care if it's the theatrical cut (without the improved effects)

Funny thing-- I'm hearing several people whine about not getting the "directors vision" of the film yet there are countless people screaming and yelling about George Lucas (giving HIS preferred version) of the STAR WARS
movies and how they won't buy them unless they get the original versions

As far as the PQ quality I've watched 1 through 3 and I peaked at the last title and they all looked excellent to me
