It's kind of odd that the packaging for these three sets doesn't have volume numbers anywhere on it.
I prefer the standalones anyway. I hate the book packaging Universal uses, where the discs slide into the tight cardboard pages, so they can achieve maximum scratching. And if you're lucky, they also get some nice glue along the far edge, which may or may not allow the disc to be removed at all, adding more suspense. I like to sort all my Hitchcock discs chronologically, so I'll be buying the standalones for these. At least we won't have to wait a year for the standalones, like we did for Vol 1. |
