Well if anyone's doing it it's probably worth selling the Unearthed one, the subs going out of sync makes it near unwatchable anyway, I ended up ripping it and downloading some synched subs.

Just saw Joey's Terracotta mail and wow, in for all 3!

I have mixed feelings about the design: I really like it but on the other hand I really like the 'normal' TWF style too.
It does stand out I'll admit.

Those trailers are amazing btw.

Especially seen as they didn't do a replacement program which it definitely warranted.

An Evil Dead Trap 1 & 2 box set did pop up on Amazon about a year ago maybe.
Couldn't find where it'd been previously released as a blu ray set so assumed it was a new release but nothing ever came of it.

Edit: yup still there.

I like the presence of Japanese text, gives me an excuse to scrub up on kanji. The design of the covers is very nice but I wish Third Window would switch to clear cases, they're much more visually appealing - not so bad for a cover like Typhoon Club but the one for The Guard from Underground clashes with the blue case. I wonder how much more expensive clear cases are for a label as opposed to the regular blue cases?

Really interesting announcements! I had known the Kurosawa was coming, and Typhoon Club was teased a few days ago, but Door actually looks the most interesting to me...hmm, which to go for?

EDIT: Wait, just realised Mermaid Legend is a Director's Company title...fingers crossed that's one of the upcoming titles as I've wanted to see that for a while!

You might be right, or perhaps Eureka?

I wonder how it affects resale value if you swap cases yourself? I personally don’t care about lost value from that, as in my market there are few buyers anyway and I don’t plan to sell a lot of my Blus.

However, I have gotten some empty clear cases from e.g. moving Indicator SEs to separately bought digipaks. I’ve been thinking that once I have enough of those, I’m going to check if the size fits the covers for some of my blue cased titles from various labels and swap them out.

And I’m sure there must be a way for end consumers to buy a larger amount of clear cases for less than 1€ a piece.

I've been meaning to watch Door after seeing a clip of the overhead shot in a chase scene, that definitely got my interest, looks awesome.

All of them

Mermaid Legend is mentioned on the podcast as one that's still tied up with Toho (for now).

I love everything about these announcenents, that's going to be an easy double dip on Typhoon Club.

Is amazon joking with their pre-order price of 29,99 pounds? Terracotta has got them for 17,99 pounds. I'm inclined to order from them if possible (better for TWF themselves too), although their tracked shipping costs are a bit high for mainland Europe.

I think that's the RRP, they'll likely price-match HMV who are listing them for £19.99 each.

I think Adam has said because of the way amazon calculates the revenue that goes back to the label they have to set the RRP higher to get a decent return. Presumably amazon give themselves a very generous split so if they drop from a high RRP it eats more into their share than TWFs.
Amazon never price matched HMV on Go, that's never dropped below £22.50 at amazon and was £25 before release, where HMV had it for £17.99. So who knows what will happen on these. I think I'm going to put the first two in an order together at Terracotta to get over their free shipping level and wait a while longer for them (but hopefully get them pre-Halloween) and wait and see if anything else pops up that I can pre order with Typhoon Club.
