It’s a remake of Spawn Of The North (1938), which Kino released a while back on Blu-ray from one of their Universal deals. I haven’t seen the remake, but the original has some noirish elements. The remake seems to have more of a noirish bent from what I can find than the original.

I was excited at first when they announced a new Paramount deal but now not so much. I should've figured Kino would focus heavily on their Golden Age catalog.

Doesn't Kino tend to announce the older titles of the deal first anyway? I definitely remember there being enough of a lull in Classic Hollywood titles being announced last summer as they were wrapping up the previous Universal and Paramount deals that some people elsewhere were freaking out that Kino would never release another old movie again.

23 Paces has reversible art, so the art shown on the site should be there.

Vigilante Force also had reversible art.

Do you open the discs or just put them on the shelf?

No, we announced THE LAST CASTLE last weekend, it'll be a mix of genres, decades, etc.

Tomorrow's announcement is a 1970s first time on Blu-ray. I would be shocked if anyone guessed what it was.
