Default Analog Audio In/HDMI Video In to Onkyo TX-SR606???

Here is the setup. I am building a PC for the sole purpose of watching web content on my TV. My dilemma. The motherboard/video card combo I am considering will output video via HDMI and audio via 3.5mm stereo. I plan to purchase a 3.5mm to RCA female cable adapter and appropriate length RCA cables to connect to the Onkyo TX-SR606 receiver.

After reading the user manual,

it is still unclear whether this will work. I want the video from the PC output to my TV like the other HDMI connected devices. I also want audio to come out the front left and front right speakers that surround my TV (not the TV speakers). If anyone else has attempted such a conversion, please let me know if this will work.

Disclaimers: This is an extremely budget setup <$150 for all components, I have not found a cheap or within my budget video card or motherboard that will output audio and video via HDMI, I am open to potential motherboard, and video cards...
