Default BUY-A-THON's

Yo. Guys. TIME OUT!

I'm not at all opposed to these BUY-A-THON days. Numerous threads popping up on this (sorry i just created another one ). For those that can afford to do it...please do so.

HOWEVER... what is going to REALLY make an impact is the **trend analysis** that Paramout, WB and Universal will be plotting over the coming days and months to determine their home video directions for 2008.

It makes a far bigger statement to spread your dollars out over time so the net compounding effect of continued blu-ray sales shows steady and healthy growth in the coming days and weeks.

The financial modeling people at the Studios are not stupid. Big spikes on a handful of days does not sell these companies on adopting Blu-ray.

My advice.... determine how much overall $$$ you can afford to spend on Blu-ray for the remainder of the year. Look at the pre-order list. Then make a plan to buy BD's at steady intervals (ie: one a week, etc...) and put it on your calendar.

PS: This will go a long way to ensuring the success of Blu-ray rather than joining a secret vampire society...IMHO.
