These really are premium conversions now. They've been getting steadily better - the last two I've bought, this and Carnival of Souls, have been tremendous. I'm lukewarm on the film itself. It has its charms, but Rod Serling would have snorted his coffee reading this stuff. The women are lovely. The monster is a hoot. The 3D space effects are crazy good.
Stellar work from Andrew and EYEPOP. I have to say, though, that I'm not surprised it didn't do as well as previous Kickstarter titles. It's a pretty obscure low-budget sci-fi film. I'd only vaguely heard of it before, and I love sci-fi. Without a big name above the title, these vintage conversions are always going to struggle, IMO. |
