Got hippo on The 2nd try as well. He caught me with that bird the first time. Got the furnace golam at Scary Altus.

I used the lance horseback tailsman and the talisman that gives you a buff with full health and the Rellana's twin blades to take him down.

Had the furnace guy in the last area down to the last bit and then he basically two shotted me. This is why I reject the idea that you can be "overpowered" in this game. These are easily the most annoying enemy in either the base game or the DLC so far. I'm almost willing to give this game a failing grade just based on these things alone.

The big walking things out in the main world or the furnace room you fight Mesmer in?

The guys out walking around I think you just need the right weapon to really lay into them. I remember going at them with my rivers and was getting destroyed then I was putting them down real easy maybe with the blood staff? I'm not exactly sure

The big tall fire guys I've killed some of them, but it's so tedious.

He is tough. Most difficult boss FromSoft have made as of yet. I'm sure you'll get him eventually.

You should have seen him when it launched this is the heavily watered down one

He would cannon roll you right at the open after taking one step so you'd have to enter immediately call your summons take huge damage hope he engaged the summons so you could heal and then come back and fight

its much more tame now than it was

Got it this morning. Fingerprint shield, Mohgwyn Spear and some ancient death rancor spells near the end.

The amusing thing is that it took the type of weapon I like the least for me to beat him.

Once I went with this strategy it took 3 tries. I almost had him the first time with it. His health was down about 85 percent and then he just one shotted me. It pissed me off pretty bad.

Got him. The only other boss to really give me notable trouble was Commander. Probably easy to tell since I didn't ***** about the DLC near as much as I did about the base game .lol

Youtuber fightinCowboy really helped me get through this dlc.

Something to note... I went through the base game twice with the same character. Does that mean I basically played Shadow at NG+1? That would be insane if I was playing Shadow at NG+1 without knowing it.

Yes thats why I remade a save for the DLC cause I was like +6 ng and ti was starting to be an issue to just do the base game let alone what the DLC was going to bring

So I just did a NG got it to level 300 or 400 and ran through the DLC
