Default Loosing Frames

Hey guys,

Im kind of new to the whole Blu Ray/Home Theatre system. When I bought my XBR7 52" and hooked up the PS3, I was suprised how good a regular DVD looked. The image was smooth and very sharp on fast action. Then I bought a Sony DS2400ES AV Receiver and had my PS3 run through that and then to the TV and Sound System. After watching a couple of BD movies i was suprised how good the PQ was and how much detailed there was BUT for some reason the frames got slowed down. Im not experiencing the whole 240 HZr. so yesterday just for fun, I hooked up the PS3 directly to the TV (HDMI) and watched my first BD in its richest fromat. all i can say is wow!!!!! now the question is, is my receiver slowing down some frames? Please help me enjoy BD movies the way they are suppose to look like. Any help is appriciated.

Thanks.
