Nobody ever thought Tokyo had a real chance and most figured Madrid didn't have a great shot because the 2012 games are in Europe and it is an unspoken rule that the games alternate between continents.

Yeah, Tokyo already held the Olympics before and interesting that it came down to Madrid and Rio. Nice to finally see South America picked.
