I will have to say Big Daddy, that new sub looks Incredible.
The sheer size of the sub box is enormous.I believe a family of four could live in there comfortably.

It had better be comfy Tals, because I think once his wife see it, he may have to sleep in there for a while!

All I can say about the performance of the new subwoofer is that it is deep, loud, and scary. The SPL versus Frequency charts are given below. Need I say more? You can find the complete information about this project in Post #614 of the DIY Subwoofer/Speakers Building thread. It has a sticky in Subwoofers section.

The best part is that a second ported 12" ED enclosure will be delivered next week. The Upgrade-itis virus has a special strain called Subwoofer-itis.

The two Hsu subs are in the middle of the right and left walls, the 15" DIY sub is in the middle of the rear wall, and the AA sub is in the left rear corner. Ideally, the AA sub should go in the middle of the front wall, but there is no room. There is really no need as the bass level in the room is pretty loud and relatively flat.

Your new sub looks great...I hope your neighbors aren't very close to your house...I'm sure it sounds great.

Fortunately, I don't have close neighbors. I can play the music very loud in the middle of the night.

It looks awesome BD! And what a nice flat frequency response you have too! I cannot believe the SPL reading at those levels either....that thing is incredible!

Thanks. The subwoofer has exceeded all my expectations. It can actually play louder than those numbers, but I was afraid of blowing the driver and my ear drums.

I stopped when the subwoofer level was at three quarters and the receiver's volume was -5dB. I actually felt that the subwoofer was raising the heavy sofa off the floor. I had covered my ears with cotton and headphone.

More like it comes with kickers for every piece of furniture in the house.

When I was testing the subwoofer with test tones and SPL meter, I had my ears covered. However, the most vital part of my body, my a$$, was telling me that the sofa was about ready to go to the moon. That box is so huge that it scares me.
