But crazy is right,I would save for the speakers first.

Start off like some of the other Polk Heads have.Keep using your Klipsch Quintet Speakers except for the center channel.

Go ahead and buy a new Polk Center Channel and add that to your system first.Since they are around $69.00 with FREE Shipping you can get one quicker then all 3 New Front Speakers.

In getting the new center now you will get the benefit of the improved on screen dialouge being much clearer and the sound effects having a lot more punch to them.

Then after you hear how big of a difference the New Polk Center makes,it will get you that much more fired up and eager to add the other Front 2 Polk Speakers to the Polk Center Channel.

And if I was reading right Newegg has the Polk Monitor 60's on sale for $109.00 each,The Monitor 60;s are even taller and deeper then the Polk Monitor 50's.

And instead of having (2) 5 1/4 inch woofers like in the Monitor 50's.The Monitor 60's have (3) 5 1/4 inch woofers per speaker.
This gives you better, tighter bass. And a clearer and crisper mid range and smoother high end.

And if you had all 3 of these Polk Speakers as your New Front Speakers; you would have (8) 5 1/4 inch woofers and (3) 1 inch dome tweeters .

Thats a nice number of high quality drivers reproducing all the dialouge and main special effects in your Home Theater.

And if you get them all at their sale prices it would Cost about $289.00 for all 3 speakers and FREE Shipping.

But get the new center first to get the ball rolling and that will get you saving up to upgrade your speakers quicker then any other way I know.
Ok.....I just need to hold off.....i see something i want and i gotta have it....im like a woman....ahhhhh!

I thinking im gonna get the CS10 like you got. I really love the look of that center.

Even without the AMP upgrade, the upgraded cables and acoustic treatments that are coming soon will make the system sound much better already. Like I said to btf1980 in the vinyl purchase thread....It never ends!

Thats one of the Best Strains of Upgrade-itis to have is for new external amps.

So is there a particular Brand or a particular Model(s) you have found yourself Lusting over so Bad,Its caused both your Blood Pressure and Core Body Temperature to rise into Danger Levels.

Or are you interested in several different Brands and are just waiting to see, over time, which brand rises to the top.

I know I know! So the deal with the Polk Monitor 50s ends the 20th. I would not be able to afford to buy the both of them by then. They will more then likely go on sale again right?

All of the different Polk Audio Monitor Speakers will be on Sale for Great Prices Inbetween now and the end of the year.

But I would think, that like most other products. You will see the Best Deals on Speakers on Black Friday until right before Christmas.

But when I look at how much they have discounted some of these speakers when they are On Sale they may not be able to go Lower in Price then they do now.

But you will have some more chances to buy at the Sale Prices.

That's a really tough question to answer, as there are so many terrific brands out there. But here are a few of mine.

As a former McIntosh owner I would love to get back into their product offerings, but this time with their tube-gear.

I've heard some of the Marantz Reference Line gear and was very impressed. I love the minimalist, yet retro look of their componants as well.

Being Canadian I would be remiss if I didn't include SimAudio and Bryston. I'm not a fan of Anthem (both lines), although I loved the original SonicFrontiers.

Another one that comes to mind, because I would dearly love some tube-amps, is PrimaLuna. I have yet to audition them as they were only available out of California (although they are a Dutch manufacturer), but they are now available locally. I can't wait to go and audition them.

Well John,My Friend.

It looks as if you go into the Wonderful World of Amps you are jumping into the pool head first.

You have named some incredible Companies with amazing products.
I must admit that a couple of the Brands are new to me.But the brands I am familiar with are amazing in their audio performance and beautiful in their build quality.

But going with the warm, laid back sound of a good tube amp would match the warmth of your vinyl collection extremely well. And who could resist the amazing look of a well crafted Tube Amp.

But then the brands you chose that arent of the tube variety are Excellent performers on their own.

And if you did get a Bryston you have to promise to ship it to me so I can use it in my system for about a month. Then I can fulfill my promise to myself of having a Bryston Amp(and any of their other components I could add to my system).

But I just have never personally heard an amp in a price range that I could have actually been able to afford that sounded as smooth and natural as I had with listening to Bryston.

I have heard better sounding and performing components but they were all more expensive then the Bryston Gear.

But you would have a system that sounded almost outer worldly with the addition of amps and components from any of the Brands you named(including the couple I am not familiar with).

I wish you much happiness in hunting for the perfect amp to compliment your system, because the hunt and auditioning of quality amps is almost as fun as buying the amp itself.

So,Please, keep us(or at least me)updated about your search and how well it proceeds.

Now I am having the same problem with the CS1 and CS10. I want the CS10 because i really do love the endcaps on it and the black finish. The Cherry CS1 is cheaper but the Black is 30 dollars more. I gues what i am asking is, should i just save my money and get what i want, or go with the cheaper buy?
Mike,my Friend,I would look at it like this.

You are building your first real Home Theater. You do have a Nice TV and Quintet Home Theater Set and a Blu Ray Player.
So you do have something you can use for now until you get your Home Theater Built.

I would wait and get what you want.I have seen the Black Polk CS1 Center Speaker on Sale for $69.99 just like the Cherry Wood Finished One Is Now.

In fact they have the Polk Audio CS2 Center Speaker in Black On Sale for $109.99.That is a Great Deal for the CS2.
It has (2) 6 1/2 inch Woofers instead of the (2) 5 1/4 inch woofers in the CS1 or CS10.

I will be honest and say I wish I didnt get the CS10,for 2 Reasons.

One is its more expensive then the CS1(and has the same exact woofers and tweeter).

And Two the Black Laquer End Caps are Dust and Fingerprint Magnets. They come with a special cloth you use to keep the end caps wiped clean(which you have to do ALL the time)

Now they do look good when they are cleaned but if I had to do it over again I would have chose the CS1 or the CS2 instead of the CS10 or CS20.

So get what you want, dont get it just because the Cherry Finish is on Sale. The Black CS1 will be on sale sooner or later.

When you finish building this Home Theater, make sure its made up of everything you wanted. Not pieces you got and settled for because you wanted it faster.

If you didnt have a Blu Ray Player and a Home Theater Set to keep you busy,I could see why you would get in a hurry to get a Home Theater System.

But since you do have something to watch and listen to now,you can take your time to build your new system piece by piece with the pieces you really wanted.

Now if you are on a Budget(like I am or I would have the Ultimate System)you may have to get a piece here and there that may not have been your first choice.

But is something you could handle having in your system and fits in the budget amount of money you have to put into the system.

But I think you can get a Black CS1 and a Pair of Monitor 50's or Monitor 60's in Black Color as well, for a price that will fit into your budget.

A good question is this.If you had the chance to buy your sub again.Would you do it the same way you did it before, or would you wait until they had the color finish you wanted in stock?
That is a good question. I love the sub I got. The only thing that i would have wanted is the black finish. But i mean it is mostly Black/gray in the center area. It just has the Light Maple Sides. I dont think i would change my decision.

Now as for the Speakers, Everything in the Front area of my HT is Black. With the Exception of the cable box. I do like things uniform, and if i did get the CS1 and the Monitor 60s in cherry, they would be uniform. But I really like Black........ I guess i answered my own question.

This is me being impatient again. I will save the money and buy what i want when i get the funds.

Thanks Tals. And sorry for my impatient thought processes!

Hi Mike,

I had a chance to hear the Nola Baby Grands (in the picture, list price at the time $55,000 ) and the bigger top of the line (4 tower Nola Grand Reference, list price $145,000 ) last December.

Here are the Nola Grand Reference:
