Okay, I'm a little bit confused. First, here is what I have...
Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR805, and PS3 for blu-ray. I know PS3 can't decode DTS-MA, but I thought that if I did bitstream through HDMI, the receiver would then decode at full DTS-MA. Right now the receiver displays DTS: Neo and when i click on display (ps3 remote), it says DTS 1.5 mbps, which means all I'm getting is the DTS core. Anyway, this is where I'm confused. Am I doing something wrong? I know Sony plans on releasing a PS3 firmware that will allow dts-ma decoding, but what is the point of having a receiver that can decode DTS-MA? I was really excited about watching FF2 at full DTS-MA so maybe someone can shed some light my way? ![]() |
