Terminator 3 Aspect Ratio

Something has been bugging me. I was a Projectionist when T3 came out and I clearly remember it being a Flat (1.85:1) ratio movie. I remember because I thought it was odd. Usually Action films are Scope and comedies ect are flat (there are LOT of exceptions to this rule). But Like I said, I found it unusual that a Terminator film would be released in 1.85:1.

Now the DVD and the BD are listed as 2.39:1 and as it being the "Original Aspect Ratio". What Gives?

My only guess was that in 1.85:1 when the TX first appears and they do the pan up while she was standing you caught a very brief boob shot, but that hardly seems like enough to change the ratio of the whole film.
