Default Thinking of a Panny Plasma

Hello everyone, thought I would try to recruit some help from the knowledgeable folks here.

My RPTV recently crapped out on me and I have been out looking at picking up a new tv, well looking and debating whether I should just fix it or not.

I have in mind a few different models but it is really hard to compare prices sometimes when I read people posting what great deals they got as the prices in Canada are usually much higher on consumer electronics.

I have priced out a few tvs, please keep in mind these are in Canadian dollars and we have 15% tax.

1. Panasonic 54" V10- Very hard to come by around here but I found one for $2999 and they wont move on the price. That doesnt include tax or warranty.

2. Panasonic 54" G10- I can get this for $3100 taxes in and with a 5 year warranty.

3. Panasonic 58" Z series- Only one left and is a floor model. $3400 taxes in and 5 year warranty.

I am not too sure what would be the best deal or bang for my buck and I don't want to wish I got something else shortly after.

I was also entertaining the idea of a Sony 55" V5100 for $2299 plus tax and warranty or 52" XBR9 for $2799 plus tax and warranty (but have seen this as low as $2399). I am leaning toward the plasmas as I don't know how well those Sony models handle judder and motion blur both issues I noticed on a friends Samsung set that I dont want to deal with, and I am not a fan of the look motion enhancement produces.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks!
