And any tips you have on setting it up correctly. Gonna copy and paste my post from AVS forums.

I finally got my wires ran and my stuff hooked up today, its too late tonite to run audyssey so I am gonna do it tommorow. I have a few questions.

First off, I ordered Denon 1610 receiver, TSC LCR3 package for fronts, TSC p6 bookshelf speakers for surrounds and a TSC ASW-10 sub.

My first and main question is this, I have the sub connected via "option 2" in the instructions that came with the sub, which is one cable going from the sub out on the receiver to the left line in on the sub. It tells me to start with Sub on of course, 12 o clock volume, phase 0 and Crossover Frequency at 150hz, which is max on the sub. I find a little down in the instructions it says that if I have the sub connected via Option 2, which I do to leave the crossover at its highest setting, so does that sound right? I will leave it at 150hz and not change that at all? Also should I leave the sub on Auto as opposed to on? Will that save power when its not in use?

My other questions is about the mic, I do not have a tripod, do I really need one? Can I mount the mic on a stick about ear height and hold the stick while I am doing the testing?

Thanks.
Setting the crossover dial all the way up is correct. You control the speakers' crossovers in the receiver. You want to disengage the crossover on the back of the subwoofer.

It is generally not a good idea to hold an SPL meter or a calibration microphone by hand. The human body may interact with the readings. Setting it on a tripod, stick, or highchair is ok. Make sure the calibration microphone is pointing upward toward the ceiling.

Also, it is a good idea to read A Guide to Bass Management.
