Valkyrie Profile / Gamestop boneheads

Apologies if this borders on Off-Topic.

So while Gamestop was having their Buy 2 get 1 promo, I saw the shell for Valkyrie Profile Lenneth sitting on the shelf. I grab it right away, along with 11 others.

Come check out time, they tell me that while the case is there, and it's in their system, the disc is nowhere to be found. I ask if I can still get a raincheck on the savings, or get a call if they discover it, and they tell me no. They also go and assume it was a inventory error in their system.

Christmas day: I get the game from my parents , albeit used with no packaging. I figure I'll call up GameStop the day after and ask for theirs. Now they tell me they threw it out.

Threw it out?! That's a rare game. It's WORTH SOMETHING! Idiots.

Lucky for me, somebody was selling their Valkrie Profile Lenneth case/manual w/ no disc on ebay for 6 bucks.
