Exactly. The easiest is 2 the Dragon God. I actually saved going back to 1 after I pretty much beat all the other levels. That way, Ostrava follows me through the entire level and I do not worry about him getting offed.

Don't need to do anything especially special for the Friend's Ring. I got it by whacking Black Phantom Invaders as a Blue Phantom.

Ive killed all 5 merchants and Mephistophiles still hasnt showed up

Thank you Atlus for the Xmas present. Got everything to be had in 4/5 worlds with PWWT. Little mishap on world 2, the Dragon Smasher was there but didn't have the room. Went back to the nexus to unload excess crap and it wasn't there when I got back. So BOO-HOO for me, I have to do one of the PWWT events legit

For real though it was very cool for them to make all the PWWT available over the Xmas period. It's a lot easier to get a world black then white.

First off you have to kill Yurt.
Secondly you must have pure black character tendency.

You are only supposed to kill vendors when Mephistopheles orders you to....

I killed nearly everybody to achieve Black character tendancy.lol. i had to kill the merchant in each world, both freke's and urbain's followers, the blue soilder in the Nexus and blacksmith Ed before Mephistophiles appeard! shes there now so i can finally do her quests....i can smell Platinum

i fired up dragon age the other day 3 hours playthrough its totally boring the crap out of me- back on demons now.

i did hear you have to perservere with it for 6 hours or so, so i may stick with it for a bit. but so far its uber crap

But doing that raises your character tendency. That is, if I am understanding the guide correctly.

How else are you able to raise character tendency? I have not died once in my 3rd run through and I am still neutral ct.

I have Dragon Age, but I have yet to play it. I can't stop playing this game for anything. I try playing other games, but I keep thinking about what I want to do in Demon's Souls.

I cannot remember the last game that had me so captivated.

The only way to raise your character tendancy is defeat invading black phantoms or defeat the named black phantom in each world. dying or not will not effect character tendancy
