Great thread!

As many of you know, Lost is my favorite show….followed by very closely by 24. I have a very close bond with all the characters. They make you laugh, make you cry, they make you angry…and sometimes you even want to be those characters. I flew down to Florida last summer and while I was sitting in the terminal, I looked around at those that were boarding with me. I thought “the idea of Lost is genius” Why couldn’t I come up with that idea? : The thought did go through my mind about what would happen if the plane crashed lol.

No particular order
Fav Characters
#1: Benjamin Linus (Michael Emerson) – He hasn’t been on for the full ride but he made a great impression when he was introduced as Henry Gale…for a moment there, I actually believe him. Those scenes with him inside the hatch were extremely intense. And when he had the chat with Locke about leading those to his balloon was a trap…his mind games are awesome
#2: Desmond Hume (Henry Ian Cusick) – How could you hate a guy that continually calls anyone and everyone “brother” lol I was so pulled in by his character during season two. Who is this nut that lives in a hatch? Lol
#3: Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonall) – This guy is just full of mystery..I’m still anxiously awaiting his backstory.
#4. Hugo Reyes aka Hurley (Jorge Garcia)– Dude!! I thought it was hilarious when Hurley tackled Sawyer lol Other than that, he gets along with pretty much everyone. It was a shame to see his girl Libby killed off. Poor guy. I’d enjoy eating with him @ a Chinese buffet someday.
#5. James Ford aka Sawyer aka LaFleur (Josh Halloway) – You love and hate him. I’ve gotten a kick out of all the nicknames he hands down to people. Season 5 was great when we actually see him as a nice guy.
#6. Jin- ( Jin-Soo Kwon) – He’s an interesting character as well. I thought it was priceless when Saywer started teaching him basic English. Also, when Michael and him were always arguing while building the raft.
#7. Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews)- He tortures people and can build and fix anything electronic. His character hasn’t been the same since Shannon died though. He wasn’t that impressive during season 5. Ya he killed Ben but it didn’t work. He was great in season 1 though.
#8. Kate Austin (Evangeline Lilly)- Yeah..she’s adorable..enough said. I always wondered what would have happened if the Marshall did survive the crash. Would he have treated her the same way and kept her handcuffed to a palm tree?
#9. Jack Shephard (Matthew Fox)- Are spinal surgeons really this cool? His character influenced me to almost change my major to Pre-MED…almost..:..his character has really evolved. I’m not sure what to make of him anymore. We’ll see what happens in season 6 but he’s definitely dropped off the radar. He went from being the most influential to the most hated lol. They even made him a WorkMan @ Dharma.
#10. John Locke (Terry O’Quinn) – Mr. Clean has always fascinated me since “The Walkabout”….He’s had it rough but his character still amazes me. He sure did get his adventure.
#11. Juliet(Elizabeth Mitchell)- I hated her at first but after seeing what Ben put her through…she will be missed.
#12. Charlie Pace (Dominic Monaghan)- Definitely one of my favorite characters. I don’t think anyone wanted him to die in season 3.
#13. Mr. Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje)- Very fascinating character…a man of hope and faith. Almost like a new Locke..until he got killed. One of my favorite scenes is when he’s convinced that it is his duty to man the hatch lol.
#14. Ann Lucia (Michelle Rodriguez) – I agree with the majority. She was a great character and was killed off too soon.
#15 Boone- He was Locke's apprentice and always tried to help. A shame he had to go so soon.

I told you I liked many, if not all the characters..

WORST CHARACTERS
Michael- WALT!!! I think he said “Walt” more times than Desmond said “brother”
Walt- annoying kid that they built up to be a huge character and really plays no more important roles in Lost.
Shannon- very selfish and annoying.
Nikki & Paulo- enough said
Ethan- a true scumbag
Mr Friendly
Frogurt
Claire- selfish and very annoying. Charlie can find a lot better(he already did with Lilly though)
Penelope Widmore- I liked her until I read that she has yet to watch an episode of Lost and doesn’t plan to. She has zero commitment to the show.
