Most of the watts ratings for receivers are over exaggerated because receivers are usually not rated at 8 ohms with all channels driven. This will give the consumer a false scene power.
Same thing goes for speakers a lot of companies give specs for the speakers as peak watts which speakers can only deliver for a few seconds at a time. Companies should state the RMS as that is the continuous wattage that can be pumped through your speaker. Speaker Ratings |
