So true. In fact, the SACD team at Sony worked directly with the PS3 team to make it everything short of a flagship player.

And you definitely don't need a $1000+ receiver to play it. There are several companies such as Onkyo, Panasonic, and Sony themselves that make sub-$500 HDMI receivers, most of which even have multiple HDMI inputs that do both audio and video switching. Some of the low/mid-level Denons are also under $1000 and do a very nice job with the PS3 and SACDs.
