LG 50PS60 Question

I was within a week of putting down the cash for a 54V10 or 58V10 when this Panny darkening situation cropped up. Like many I suspect, I've decided to hold off a bit and see what happens.

When I mentioned this to my local electronics shop, they suggested I take a look at the LG 50PS60. It's 50" 1080p with THX certification. Not having much experience with LG TVs, I'm rather skeptical. They are selling the TV for $1349. They have a floor model they've recently completed an ISF calibration on and feel it's good, though I'm not the kind to purchase floor units. So what do the experts out there think about this unit?
