I was talking with a friend recently about Carnivale and how it ended and we were both so frustrated that it didn't get a natural conclusion.
And I thought about it and figured at least we got SOME closure and while we could see they were going to go farther, at least it had some semblance of an ending. I think the absolute worst cases of a show ending on a cliffhanger and never finiishing the story has to be either John Doe or Now & Again. In fact, I'd be hard pressed to pick between them because Now & Again definitely had a kick to the balls ending, thanks to the writer of the show being mad at the execs, and wrote a massive cliffhanger hoping to pressure them into a second season. Didn't work. lol And of course that last shot of John Doe was just like "WHOA!" So those would be my two two. I was tempted to put Nowhere Man on here, but that had an ending, just an effed up ending. |
