I was reading on one of the Onkyo that it was a pass through, and also that that is not a good choice for sound.

I will clarify, I am willing to spend more the the recever and get cheaper speakers that I can upgrade later when I have the money. Right now I have no surround sound so (Almost) any speakers would be an upgrade)
