I will clarify, I am willing to spend more the the recever and get cheaper speakers that I can upgrade later when I have the money. Right now I have no surround sound so (Almost) any speakers would be an upgrade) |

That is not much of a budget, but you can get a decent setup.
These should be used for your fronts and rears. Than add this as your Center channel Your speakers now costed you $239.64 Receiver Get this item, it will accept LPCM so on your blu-ray player you will go into the menu and for audio you will select PCM as the default for decoding. The receiver will cost you $299, and it is the only receiver that is $299 that is worth purchasing. Now you will need to save up a little an get a subwoofer, and I would personally suggest that on a budget you look at the Premier Acoustic PA-120 for about $230. I would avoid getting a Polk sub, even though you can find them for $119, they are only worth $119, and you will soon be looking to upgrade from it. I would avoid the Acoustic Audio subs too, they aren't very reliable lately. This will be the best sounding budget system you will find. You actually may not find that you need to upgrade these speakers right away, as you will find with the Polk 6750s or the Onkyo HTiB that were suggested. If anything you could move the front set to the rear and get the Jamo 605 towers as fronts, and you would have 7.1 with all the speaker being from the same class. |

As was mentioned before, I think your best choice right now is the Onkyo HT-S6200 system from Accessories4less ( http://www.accessories4less.com/make...e-Black/1.html ). The receiver is great, and the speakers are not bad, either. And, everything you need is right in the box. At this price ( $449 ), nothing else on the market even comes close ! I started out with the 6100. As money became available, I replaced the front speakers, then the subwoofer, the center speaker, and finally the surrounds. Believe me, you can't do better !!
