Default What do you make of these budget Panasonics?

I'm a Panasonic fan.. I have two of their commercial Plasma's. Both 42inch, both picture perfect.

While shopping, I noticed a 50" TC-P50C2 for $799 and an even better deal at another major retailer. TC-50PX24 for $689... So ok these are only 720P ... But does it matter? One of my Plasma's is commerical Panasonic EDTV and guess what, it is easily as good as the 720P and in someways better.., so good is the set's upscaler.

Hence always being a fan of Panasonic.. So i've taken great interest of these new 50"... The extra size would be nice.

My EDTV is over 5yrs old now and unfortunately my little one put a scratch in the glass. So time to change.. For this price, is it too good to be true? What's the catch? Anyone familar with the quality of the commercial Panasonics and able to compare to how well these much newer generation's in-expensive sets would compare?

Opinions please.
