Yep, this is why I don't watch tv shows on tv. Sitting through commercials is bad enough but when something like this happens, then it's just bullshit.
AMC's screwup aside, what a great episode. It almost feels like every episode is a season finale because of the awesome build ups they create and the anticipation that the viewers have to endure. Those last minutes had me tense as hell. |

Those final moments had me yelling at the tv for Hank to stop being such a hard ass and get the **** out of there. I was in complete and utter shock in those final minutes, and my jaw hit that floor when that

Holy f----- s---
![]() That ending was goddamn brilliant filmmaking ![]() So much happened, impossible to talk about it all. What I wonder, of course, is who was the guy that warned Hank? And if Walt got rid of Gale because he suspected that he's just there to learn and be able to copy his recipe, or if he only did it because he needed Jesse back to calm him about the Hank thing. A perfect episode, and whatever happens in the remaining six, I have a feeling it's going to blow our minds. ![]() |

My believe is that it was Gus on the other end of the phone, he did not like the fact that the cousins would not listen to him, but he also gave up Hank's name and to me it seemed almost like a setup. He wants to rule the entire drug trade and by taking out Tio's henchmen he doesn't have anymore enforcers or really any protection now. So my guess is that Gus is making a major power play. In regards to Gale, I also believe it had nothing to do with Gale at all or Walt being worried about him taking his recipe. It seemed more to me about self-preservation than anything else. Jesse calling Walt his "get out of jail free card" and telling him he would give him up to save himself seemed like a come to Jesus moment for Walt, so Walt created that problem with Gale based on nothing more than needing to bring Jesse back into the fold to keep himself safe. We all know Walt is a man who now only cares about himself and his power so to me the move with Jesse is still all about protecting Walt. But those are just my thoughts on that. ![]() |

I agree, the ending of the episode was amazing, and definitely one of the highlights of the series. Now I am wondering who was on the phone
[Show spoiler] and the whole Gale situation--he just seems to amiable to be genuine, so I'd be surprised if he didn't have some ulterior motive, even if only indirectly.Another thing: Did everybody notice, way back in episode 2 or 3, the radio announcement [Show spoiler] ? Do we think any definitive answer will come of that tidbit?

Well as I've stated a few times previously, my belief is it was Gus. There's no way it was Walt, because he wasn't even aware of the cousins, or had any contact with them to know they where coming. Gus is the man who sent them after Hank, and my belief is it was a setup. Nobody but Gus had knowledge they where comin.

I finally caught up on all the episodes last night. Damn this show gets intense!!! I was getting a little bored with this season in the begining. I wonder if Hank is going to survive. I was throwing a fit at the tv, when he was just sitting in his car after the phone call. What an ending!!!

I know, during his hospital bed speech about ruining Hank's life he was so damn intense, I just kept waiting "For your Emmy Consideration, Aaron Paul" to start flashing on my screen during that entire segment, lol.

You kidding me? That guy started on hell of a bar fight and also finished it, took 4 bullets and still managed to drop in the round, rack the slide, and fire off a kill shot. John McClane can suck his c0ck!

still i really dont think the writers are trying to portray him as a badass...part of the reason why this show is so awesome is its complex characters...

The way he got out of this recent situation I would call badass, but he himself is a broken man. Like I said, his confession to Marie about his true feelings and struggles almost made me shed a tear.
He should at least get nominated for an Emmy this year. Alan Sepinwall said it how it is though in last week's podcast, it probably won't happen. |

![]() Far as the Emmy's go it's all politics. They will continue to give emmy's away to that Mad Men, which puts me into comas, but will never give any to the cast Sons of Anarchy which after Katey Sagal's performance in Season 2 is a god damned shame. Therefore the Emmy's can suck it! |

![]() ![]() Having said that, I wouldn't mind if this year someone else would take home the Emmy. Breaking Bad perhaps... ![]() You're right though, it's all politics. At least the nomination process is, because when it comes down to determine the winner, the voters have to actually watch the submitted episodes. And you're also right about Katey Sagal of course. Something on a entirely different note, I just saw that the BrBa Blu-rays aren't selling nearly as well as the DVDs at Amazon.com. I will go crazy if Sony ends up dropping the Blu's. Wouldn't be the first time. Last edited by eyesonfire; 05-06-2010 at 08:54 PM. |
