Mr F, I think tho that bookshelfs can be as effective as towers when you get good bookshelfs and have a good subwoofer. Therefore they should have their own review section, because bookshelf speakers can pull dual purposes, otherwise we are providing the assumption that bookshelfs are only for surround duty. When in fact there are bookshelfs that will outperform towers easily. Personally I think we NEED a monitor section so we don't pigeon hole a particular type of speaker.

From reading what iceman had said I looked at it more as adding these bookshelfs into the Floor Standing Speaker section, but with a "Bookshelf" tag. That way the speakers could be easily compared to other fronts. I didn't think anyone was suggesting that high-quality bookshelfs should be stuck in the surround section.

I also don't have this problem... :/
The only thing I can think of is a very old legacy problem if you've had your HT gallery for a long time.

Anyways, i hope they get the bookshelf section opened up, ive seen a number of bookshelves in the surround section, and id love to consider some of them in the bookshelf section instead.

Just a thought.
Horns added.

Bookshelf speakers will be handled soon and possibly headphones

When adding an HDTV there is only two options for resolution (1080 and 2160). Could the various 720p resolutions also be added.

1280 x 720
1365 x 768

Also, I recently added some speakers to the surround section (although they are actually bookshelfs). Once an option for bookshelf in the floorstanding section is made will it be possible to just carry that info over or will it have to be input all over again? (they are the Energy RC-10 Speakers)

We decided to add a separate category for Bookshelf Speakers, this seemed like the least confusing option as most members seem to expect a dedicated category for this type of speaker. I noticed that Energy RC-10 and Energy RC-Mini were listed as surround speakers, I can transfer them automatically to the Bookshelf category shortly.

Iceman, I see that the Energy RC-10s and Minis are now listed as bookshelfs, any idea when the other bookshelf speakers will be switched over?

All of these are bookshelf speakers and while they can be used as surrounds, should be under the bookshelf section. Thanks Iceman. I know you have a lot to do, so whenever you get to it.....

This may have already been addressed here, but I'm not seeing a category for soundbars. Thought they might just be part of Speaker Systems, but I'm not really seeing anything there either, and there are some brands missing anyway, in this case Vizio. Will there be a separate category for soundbars at any point in the future, or am I missing something on my end?

Soundbars are a good suggestion . The administrators are always reviewing this thread and I am sure they will consider adding it.
