I now have a fAvorite bluray, which is how it always should have been.

It seems some people still are pissed about the mere fact that this exchange program ever had to be implemented, but the way I see it paramount put out a poor product, customers complained, and they gave us a new one. Exceptional service if you ask me. And after everyone sees the new transfer the complaints should minimalize themselves
Exactly, I bought it day one for about $18.00. If I bought it straight out today, what is it on AMZ about $24.00? I paid about a $1.50 for the envelope and postage so I still come out ahead! Thank you Paramount for exchanging my disc for me, I really appreciate it! Hopefully my wishful thinking will put it in my mailbox today so I can watch it tonight!

I live in the U.K and purchased the Canadian version which looks the same as the U.S one apart from the french and American writing on the box.

I sent mine back to Play.com USA in the box and as far as i am concerned they sent me a new copy of the disc i sent back to them,as it had the same serial/IBSN number on the back.

Am i wrong here or do the new remasterd disc boxes have a different serial/IBSN number on them or is there another way to tell if the new disc i have received the new remastered Canadian version ?

I am pretty sure there is no difference between the U.S and the Canadian version of the saphire series Gladiator disc.

You are wrong. The UPC numbers are exactly the same for all releases. Look at the back of the cover, if you don't see 2-Disc Set, you hsve the 4k remastered version.

Future inventory will have a yellow UPC to better denote the 4k remastered release.

Thanks for that Steve i was not sure i thought the new one they had sent me was the same so i have not even taken it out of the packaging.

It would be cool if i do have the remastered version after all.

Once again thanks for the info.

Is the 2-Disc set just below the cast list on the bottom right of the cover and the slipcover ?

I called them today about the status of my disc. They mentioned that they were sending them out now and I shouldn't contact until after 3 weeks. It'll be two weeks since I sent mine in on Monday.

Dropped mine in a plain paper 6 x 9 envelope, slapped a couple of stamps on it and received mine today, exactly one week after mailing it back.

All in all a rather painless process.

Detailed Results:

Delivered, August 05, 2010, 9:07 am, SANTA CLARITA, CA 91350
Arrival at Post Office, August 05, 2010, 7:26 am, VALENCIA, CA 91355
Processed through Sort Facility, August 05, 2010, 4:29 am, SANTA CLARITA, CA 91383
When I sent mine off using the USPS self-mailing machine my receipt stated that the zip I entered was Santa Clarita as well. I entered 91380 so it looks like both the USPS & UPS refer to that zip as Santa Clarita. I just mailed mine Wednesday so I haven't received a replacement yet.

+1 but pretty late in the day for them. Thought I was going to be waiting until Sat or Mon. 3 days.

(Good thing I saw him drive up, because he stuck it flat in front of the garage door, right where the wife would probably have driven right over it.)

Today is day 3.

I'm in the same boat, and I'm starting to worry. I called Fedex and they said they do not have any package with my address on record. Every package should have a tracking number linked with a shipping address. Might be too early in the game, but I'm going to assume mine slipped through the cracks. I called Paramount and the rep took down my information and reported my issue. Hopefully I'll get it processed it this time and shipped with the next batch of replacements. Now to forget about it and watch some Dexter. Best of luck to you.

I am watching it right now. Makes the previous release look like a dvd. The clarity and colors really do leap off the screen much better. It is remarkably better in every scene. The beginning battle sequence is bad ass once again! I love this movie!
