to answer your question:

Her sis came home, found both dead men's bodies (landlord and the dude who wanted to date her), and found Carol under the bed frozen stiff (she's not dead I don't think -- but her muscles are frozen stiff from Catatonia, a psychological side effect of what happened). What I was saying was perfect was the photo zoom-in: shows her as young girl staring at her dad with hate. and it zooms in all the way into her eyes (remember at the beginning, it zoomed out from her pupil in her eye?)

Amen! Let's hope so! Until then, I'm glad I picked up a DVD (first viewing in 2010 ). DVD or Blu, I don't care, as long as I can watch this: I may need to give it to my friends to hold for a few weeks so I can pay bills, flush the toilet, stuff like that...

Everyone should be made to watch it twice in their lives. I remember finding it for $5 in a bargain bin and watching it two days running then reading everything I could about it.

Thrilled. I still have to see Lyndon. However, the news also states that there will be a Kubrick boxed set. I've been wanting The Shining, 2001, Strangelove, and Full Metal Jacket for awhile now but shockingly don't own them, despite the low price you can get them from. Since that's the case, I fully plan on getting the boxed set and then just selling the one film I hate--Clockwork.

I know I'm in the very small minority in Lolita being my favorite, but that's due mainly to my deep love and appreciation for Nabokov's novel.

Sorry to hear that. I just ordered Pierrot Le Fou, which is OOP, from a third party seller for $27 shipped a few minutes ago. Let's hope it's legit.

I bought a fake Chronicles of Narnia - Prince Caspian on Ebay. Very good fake. The only reason I knew it was fake was I had already Netflixed it so knew it was a reference transfer. I looked at the bitrates and knew right away (12-15 Mbs instead of 35-40 Mbps) it was fake.

Jeez, hopefully I don't need to go into that detail. I fully planned on keeping my copy sealed for awhile.

I've yet to see either (Paths of Glory as well) so I'm stoked! I actually haven't seen Eyes Wide Shut, Barry Lyndon and everything before Strangelove. I'd love to get the boxset, depending on what films it contained. For now I have 2001, FMJ, Shining and Clockwork, and plan to get Strangelove in the future

Tell me what you think. Ebert says most people cant get into his films, i thought Vivre sa Vie was good but havent seen any other godard films.

I've actually seen Breathless and Vivre sa Vie recommended as gateway Godard films, so I'll check those out after this one

a personal favorite of mine, and a great Dad-Son film. I wish there were more fantasy-dramas like this.

I didn't like VIvre or Pierrot. In 9/10 cases, I'd have written off the director when I don't like the first 2 films I watch. However, this is Godard, so he is the 1/10 that commonly grow slow on people, so I'll give him more opportunities than I ordinarily would.
