It has already been confirmed that most of that stuff will be on BD-Live.

I'll be getting this regardless of what supplements are included, but this release is a real letdown after the advertised "Fantasia World" got our hopes up.

Yes, well, that Disney's Virtual Vault sounds alot like those extra features from the bonus Legacy disc.

Is it me, or do the two DVDs seem pointless. I would like just the two BDs and have a lower price for the set.

Also, I don't like the idea of all of the other features being "Blu-ray Live" exclusive. I just like having the discs.

Especially when only the U.S have Disney B.D Live.... Thanks for screwin' everyone else!

Actually, this might explain why the U.K single release is a Diamond Edition and the U.S a Special. If most of your stuff is 'rumored' to be on B.D Live, perhaps the U.K will have most of the content on disc?

It's a possiblity, but I'd guess it would only be a small about of the stuff from the Anthology set, because judging by Snow White they didn't bring over all the features from the original DVD, so that'll likely apply to Fantasia too.

I'm more curious to know why the US is getting this on 30th November, whilst the UK 8th November, the UK never gets anything Disney before the US.

Yes we got Dumbo in March - its lovely And thats what I mean about this year - we've been getting stuff before you guys and its made a nice change, because we've always been second to everything and never had any of the Steelbooks/collectors editions from your land.

Yeah, but I'm mean these really major releases, and that was more postponed at the last minute, whereas this has had a definite release date since it was announced.

Hm, I don't think that the UK will stay a Diamond Edition. All of Disney's past Plat/Diamond editions have all been in those lines in all the regions. It doesn't make sense that Disney would choose to release a Diamond Edition exclusively in one region. I assume that the UK one will be changed to a Special Edition soon enough.

Although this is completely off-topic, I did also discover that the UK release date for the new Winnie the Pooh film that comes out next year is April 15th, whilst the US is July 15th.

Sorry if I'm making any US fans dissapointed or if my sounding a bit smug, I'm just really pleased.

Is it just me or are the extras pretty pathetic. Animated movies are easy to compress so there is no reason each disc can't have hours of extras from the previous DVDs. Thanks for screwing us again Disney.

Originally pooh was suppose to open in the us in april but disney has been so pleased with how its turning out so far that they decided a Summer release date in the US. I wouldnt expect the UK april date to hold much longer.

You know that they're taking the pee when they include 'commentaries' on the extras list. This is why I've been worried whether it's going to have an extra disc for the extras, but I sadly don't think it will. Fantasia is one of the most important films in theatre history, yet its not getting anywhere near the same treatment as Beauty and Beast, which although a 'nice' film, hasn't had the same technological or thematical effect in cinema as Fantasia. Its just a family favorite, and that popularity is overshadowing the quality of other titles.
