The UK version is not the same as the limited edition U.S. version. It doesn 't have the complete set and Disc 2 and 3 are region locked for Europe only. Those that are just wanting the Blu-ray might as well just order that from WBshop since that is what some here have mentioned really counts for them. But, there are a lot of features on the DVDs that you'll miss out on if you order the UK edition if you don't have a Region 2 player. If that's not a big deal to you, then go for it. This is why you're seeing the prices for the U.S. version for more than the UK version on ebay, there are people that it matters to. There's no reason to try to put them down. They have their reasons for wanting the more limited edition full set from the U.S. I personally only cared about getting the limited edition set (U.S.) due to the fact that is the one that will play correctly on my machine and it is a true limited edition set that will hold its higher value for a long time to come. As many have stated, the WB priced it quite low for its true value. Also, there have been those at the WBshop that have said this Blu-ray is region locked which will be a first for the WB. I didn't believe it when they told me, but they double checked with a supervisor to confirm. I still have a hard time believing that, but I'm not taking a chance. If they are starting to produce region locked Blu-ray, there are going to be a lot of people very upset come the third week of December when they get their order from the UK finally delivered (will take longer to get the UK orders shipped to U.S. then ordering a U.S. set.

Really? Why would Disc 2 of the set be region locked? I'm glad I got the WBShop edition.

Just relaying what WB told me. I believe the WB may be on the road to region locking more in the future. Why? You'd have to ask them. My speculation could run the gamit from them trying to hinder bootleggers to hindering international shipping and keeping out U.S. imports into Europe. I know the EU has been clamping down on imports from the U.S. by us regular folks selling the less expensive U.S. materials to the European markets. I have people in Europe who like me to buy things for them here in the U.S. and then ship to them (exchange rate in their favor and less taxes they have to pay - our sales tax has no VAT). But, EU customs is becoming more of a problem.

Canada, as always, is the real winner.

39$ for the briefcase at HMV.
How is that?

What can course this? And can one really call it EE?
I honestly have never been able to really discern what exactly Edge Enhancement is. Do people and objects in the foreground look like they are glowing? I really don't know. I think people are mistaking the color palette in Nolan's films for EE. It seems to me that WB only screws up transfers of films shot in 35mm, like they can't be bothered with a good transfer for anything other than digital, because it's too hard or something. Whatever man. Film will always be superior to digital in every way.

With EE:

Without EE:

Notice the white line (halo) that surrounds russel crows hand and arme belt thingo. Thast's what EE does. The imax releas of nception had EE, I never saw it in a normal theatre but if it's like the Dark Knight whos imax release (and blu-ray release) had EE, but its normal cinema release did not.

That bieng said Inception was edited digitally whereas the Dark Knight was not (it was edited on film then scanned), so Inception should not have any of the problems present on TDK blu.

One word: fantastic.

I still need to go my local HMV to reserve a copy. I don't want to miss out on this great collector's set.

I am sure that there will be copies in-store on release date but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

My TV's a little too small to notice that much EE, so I'm hoping it won't stick out as much.

I'm seeing some bootleg copies out there of the Blu-ray (but not of the U.S. limited edition set with briefcase), so be careful who you buy just the Blu-ray from. Also, if you care about seeing the DVD discs with the other extra features be sure to get the set from your region as they ARE region locked (confirmed). The statement from the wb that their Blu is also region locked has not been confirmed, so they may just be telling people that when you order on phone.

Of the actual U.S. Limited Edition Briefcase Gift set or just the Blu-ray/DVD pack? This thread is about the Limited Edition Gift set that was limited to less than 2000. If anyone ordered one of those and has actually received a shipping notice with the ship date, please respond. I called WB and they said none of the limited edition gift sets (U.S.) have been shipped. They said Dec. 6th or 7th at this point.
